Clusia Cove @ Jurong Lake Gardens – Free Water Playground In Singapore

If you are looking for a way to cool off from the Singapore heat while enjoying some outdoor time with your kids, check out the massive waterplayground at Clusia Cove, Jurong Lake Gardens.

What is at Clusia Cove?

Located in Jurong Lake Gardens, Clusia Cove is a 3 hectare water park that uses a self contained water ecosystem. It is a great place for toddlers as the water is nice and shallow (30cm deep), and there are no big water fountains, which can sometimes be intimidating for little kids. The waterplay area has a nice natural feel with sand, rocks, and is surrounded by trees. At Clusia Cove children can learn about tidal flows by using tidal gates to stop and start waterflow, and there is an intermittent waterfall over some steps that lets new treated water enter the waterplayground. The water is treated using a water recycling system consisting of natural treatment by sand beds and aquatic plants, and then travels through a UV room before it ends up in the water playground. You can read more about it here

Facilities:

There are toilet and shower facilities, as well as vending machines for drinks and snacks. If you are after a meal, there is also a Fusion Spoon restaurant with some tasty and we think reasonably priced Asian and Western food overlooking the eco-pond. If your kids have had enough of the water but still want to play, there is a massive dry play area called Forest Ramble Playground and a Butterfly Maze!

Tip:

Although Clusia Cove is surrounded by trees, there isn’t much shade over the water play area, so it can get very hot. We suggest visiting in the morning or late afternoon. There is a shaded area near the toilets where you can leave your pram or sit to keep an eye on the kids.

What we love:

The size of the water playground is incredible! We were also pleasantly surprised by how clear and clean the water looked. We had seen some pictures online before we visited where the water seemed quite brown and murky, but we are happy to report that wasn’t the case.

Location:

Clusia Cove, Jurong Lake Gardens, 104 Yuan Ching Rd. Nearest MRT is East West Line (Green line), Lakeside, exit B.

Cost:

Free!

Best suited for:

Ages 0 to 6. Older kids may enjoy too, but there aren’t the big fountains found at other water parks so they may get a bit bored. But in saying that, there are plenty of other areas of the park older kids will enjoy, and they can visit Clusia Cove as a place to cool down.

Opening Hours:

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 7pm. Closed Mondays for maintenance unless public holiday and Tuesdays if proceeding Monday was a public holiday.
